Dr. Joseph Ellis is a nationally recognized author and formerly Board Certified sports medicine podiatric physician whose interest in people and their long term well-being led him to pursue a second career in financial planning.
A registered investment advisor, licensed real estate broker, and member of the Financial Planning Association, Dr. Ellis develops plans in the areas of wealth accumulation, executive benefits, retirement strategies, and estate planning. He specializes in personalized financial roadmaps that seek to help clients reach their long-term life goals.
Dr. Ellis holds licenses in Property and Casualty Insurance as well as Life, Health and Disability Insurance, and has earned his Series 7 and 66 registrations for FINRA and SEC.
An accomplished writer, Dr. Ellis co-authored the definitive book on injury-free running as well as dozens of articles—both on finance and health—for GQ, Men’s Fitness, eHow.com, Livestrong.org, and Prevention magazine. He served on the Science Advisory Board for Runners’ World Magazine.
Dr. Ellis resides in La Jolla and enjoys golf, fitness activities, and volunteering for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.
